about us

Across the spectrum of the building industry, there is continued emphasis on preserving what is best from former architecture.

In the domestic market, properties with an older style and character remain attractive in the eyes of the potential buyers.
In the commercial sector, buildings of historic interest are usually are often viewed as aesthetically more pleasant and conducive to work in than modern alternatives. Preserving the essential fabric of these buildings in their rich variety of styles is at the heart of the services offered by Bromac.

The quality of service and the certificates of treatments and guarantees they issue gives confidence to the owner and proof of value when the property is sold. By adopting a systematic approach to each project and utilising materials and skills of an appropriately high standard, Bromac can help preserve the unique character of these buildings for the enjoyment and benefit of future generations.

Bromac have worked on a large number of churches throughout central Scotland. Working in these buildings requires a measure of respect for the building and the client. Evidence of the history of these buildings is always there to be found.
Bromac have a selection of samples of old ships timbers which have been removed from churches etc. Some of these still have the lead bullets embedded in them.

A number of preservation companies are reluctant to undertake works other than joiner work. The practice of sub-contracting other trades can sometimes lead to problems with co-ordinating jobs hence, causing the client inconvenience. Bromac employ their own slaters, plasterers and plumbers direct, thus eliminating these problems.
